with horses her whole life. Susan is a Certified Veterinary
Technician and was a professional dog groomer and breeder/handler
of champion AKC Chows for twenty six years. Susan has worked

for ours like they are her own. Susan lives in Pilot Oak,
KY with her menagerie of dogs, cats and horses.
JASON HOFFMAN - Trainer - Jason grew up
in Paris, TN and has ridden horses and mules his whole life.
Jason started bull riding when he was ten years old and

ridden mules at Jake Clark Mule Days in Ralston, WY and
has trained extensively with “Bar S’s”
Mark
Schrimpf of Denton, TX and Nashville’s own, Sam
Powell. Jim and Deb are thrilled to have Jason training
their mules. Jason strives for quietness, softness and respect.
Jason lives with his wife Andrea in Lynn Grove, KY. Jason’s
favorite expression is: “there is more to riding a
mule than putting a leg on each side”, and we couldn’t
agree with him more!

TONY HICKS, DVM - Equine Surgeon
- On those rare occasions when we require the services
of a equine surgical hospital, we rely on Dr. Tony Hicks
in Paducah, KY. Dr. Hicks’ practice in Paducah is
limited to only equines. We appreciate having him so close
to us, and he has been a life saver! If you would like more
information about his clinic, please log on to: www.equinevetservice.com

or shoe a different group of our animals and we appreciate
his dedication and expertise in his craft.
WILLIAM “EDSEL” BOWLIN - Saddle Maker
- Mr. Edsel owns Fairview Farm Saddlery in Dresden,
TN. Mr. Edsel has been a AQHA member since 1940, and we think
he bleeds Quarter Horse! We have managed to change Mr. Edsel’s
views on mules and 2007 saw his wonderful Quarter mare Skipper
Dee Lite produce her first mule baby! Not bad for someone
who has been breeding Quarter Horses for 60+ years. Mr. Edsel
makes beautiful saddles and his shop is a full service saddle
and tack repair facility. He carries McCall, Circle Y and
Billy Cook saddles. He is our tack repair “master”,
and we encourage anyone in the NW Tennessee area to stop by
his shop and have an old fashioned 8oz. bottle Coke and a
chat (he may even show you pictures of his mule baby Lake
Nowhere Luna). |
