Lake Nowhere
Mule and Donkey Farm

Welcome TO

Lake Nowhere Mule and Donkey Farm

" There is no more useful or willing animal than the mule. And perhaps there is no other animal so much abused, or so little cared for. Popular opinion of his nature has not been favorable; and he has had to plod and work through life against the prejudices of the ignorant. Still, he has been the great friend of man, in war and in peace serving him well and faithfully. If he could tell man what he most needed it would be kind treatment."
Harvey Riley 1867

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakend."
Anatole France

We support our men and women in uniform, and the military mules currently serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
(Over one million mules have served America and her allies overseas beginning with the Boer Wars. Not one has returned home to the US).

Our Commitment

Lake Nowhere Mule and Donkey Farm is committed to breeding the finest quality hand-raised draft and riding mules and American Mammoth Jackstock. Selective breeding in small numbers allows us to handle our foals daily and know them intimately. Our mules and Jackstock are raised with the goal of producing gentle, intelligent and willing animals with show quality conformation that can be used in the discipline of the buyer’s choice.

Please contact us if we can ASSist

WE MISS YOU!

Military Mules

Muleskinners of the 2nd Battalion, 475th Infantry Regiment, lead mules across a swift river in Burma during World War II.

Mules have been used to transport troops in wartime for centuries. A mule hitched to a captured Japanese ammunition wagon is used by three members of the 253rd Quartermaster Pack Company on the Burma Road.
