KENZIE at 2 days old with Laura from UTM

LKNW KENZIE

DOB: April 13, 2009
Color: Bay
Height: will mature to 17+hh
"Gaited"

Lake Nowhere "Kenzie" -
Kenzie was born on a very rainy day and although first time Mama Pearl had access to a warm, dry and clean stall, she chose to have her behind the barn in the mud. We were researching Scottish names in honor of her Mama's Scottish heritage and found the name "Kenzie" which is Scottish for "The fair one". Suits her perfectly! Kenzie has been handled daily and at 6 months old is already over 15hh. She is 1/8 TWH, 1/8 Percheron, 1/4 Clydesale and 1/2 Genesis, making her a beautifully gaited girl, indeed. She is already halterbroke, stands for the farrier and is not ear or needle shy. She will be a superb halter, dressage, eventing or hunter/jumper prospect.

LKNW LILLI

DOB: May 13,2009
Color: Grulla
Height: will mature to 15+hh
"Gaited"

Lake Nowhere "Lilli" - Lilli, daughter of Racking mare Amelia and Genesis was foaled right on time. The surprise was her color - grulla! With a black mama and a black jack, we do not know what genes were lurking in her background to produce this color, but it is lovely and unusual. Lilli is a complete lovebug, curious about everything going on around her and very people oriented. She is halterbroke, stands for the farrier and is not ear or needle shy. She will be a wonderful trail mule or with her outstanding smooth gait, inherited from both her mother and father, an outstanding show prospect.

LKNW CUTTER

DOB: August 16,2009
Color: Black
Height: will mature to 15hh
"Gaited"

Lake Nowhere "Cutter" - Cutter was a very anticipated baby since Susan and Deb are partners in the ownership of his Thoroughbred mother Pharyee. Within hours it was apparent that he is going to be a very people loving mule. So, the decision was made to name him after Cary Grant's character in the movie "Gunga Din" - Sgt. Cutter. He is handsome, sweet and obviously a ladies man, so who better than Cary? Cutter is already halterbroke and stands for the farrier. He is very intelligent and willing to try anything. He will make someone very proud with his innate talent! We are!

Color: Dark Bay
Height: will mature to 16hh

Gabriella DOB: September 09.2009
Color: Dark Bay
Height: will mature to 16hh
"Gaited"

Lake Nowhere "Giselle and Gabriella " - Friesian/Percheron mares Chloe and Desdemona have done it again! Last year we were blessed with Kasch and Karina out of these mares and Genesis.
Last year we used German names to honor the Friesian side of the family. This year we decided that it was the French Percheron side that woud dictate what these girls would be named. Gabriella was born 5 days after Giselle and they have been inseparable since. They were both imprinted at birth and have been handled daily. "Gigi" and "Gabby" have already had their first baby hoof trim and will stand to be haltered anywhere. Gigi is the quiet, loving baby and Gabby is the outgoing, loving baby. These girls will be sold as a team and will be available at weaning. If their brother and sister, Kasch and Karina are any indication, these girls are destined for the show ring!

Lake Nowhere "Arabella" -Arabella was born on May 3rd at 6:30 in the morning. Arabella is 1/2 siter to Maximillion. Madge is a wonderful Mama, and this beautiful bay girl is going to be a real "looker". "Bella" is dark bay, with a black mane, tail and dorsal stripe. She has a white muzzle. Bella is long legged, like her siblings and has her Daddy PCF Genesis' laid back personality. She will mature to over 15 hh, and will be another superb hunter / jumper or dressage candidate since she is refined and elegant, but athletic.

LKNW KARINA

DOB: April 12, 2008
Color: Black with White Points
Height: will mature to 16+hh
"Gaited"

Lake Nowhere "Karina" - Karina made an overdue, but abrupt arrival on April 12th at 4:30 in the afternoon. Kasch, her big half-brother, was so excited to have a baby sister! In honor of her German heritage we chose the German name "Carina", which means "beloved friend", however we changed the spelling. Karina was a big foal and was up and nursing in less than 45 minutes. Chloe was very happy to have finally had that foal and didn't even mind Kasch checking out the baby. We are glad that Chloe had a filly since she and Kasch are "peas in a pod" and we can tell who is who by sex. Karina is a very curious, "in your pocket" baby. She has not minded one thing we have done with her, including having blood drawn and her first shot. She is a super match to Kasch, and it will be interesting to watch her personality develop.

Lake Nowhere "Kasch" - In honor of his Friesian heritage, the German word Kasch, which means "like a blackbird", seemed appropriate. Kasch was born March 31, 2008. His Dam is Desdemona, a Friesian / Percheron cross and his Sire is AMJR PCF Genesis. This is Des' first colt and she has taken to motherhood like a fish to water! Kasch measured 43" at birth and is a stunning long legged baby! He is black with white points and is Genesis' second baby to arrive for this season. Kasch was imprinted and has been haltered daily. He is very curious and is having a great time checking out Betty Jean Wilson and Frankie, the barn cats. Kasch and Karina are "peas in a pod" and are being offered as a team.

LKNW DUKE'S ON SUNDAY
DOB: March 29, 2008
Color: Sorrel
Height: will mature to 17+hh
"Gaited"

Lake Nowhere "Duke's on Sunday" - Since his Mama is Duchess, we thought "Duke" was an appropriate name, however, what made it Duke's on Sunday is the Jimmy Buffett song of the same name. Duke was born on March 29, 2008. His Dam is BHA 6T's Duchess and his sire is AMJR Howell Farms Bill. Duke is Duchess' first colt, and we have been waiting very impatiently for his arrival. Duchess is a great Mama, as we knew she would be. She even helps with his training. While you rub on him she licks him which helps us with handling! Duke is a sorrel draft mule. Duke measured 43" at the withers at birth and will mature to 17+ hands. Duke is loving and sweet like his Mama, who is Deb's riding mare. Duke was imprinted and seeks you out for a rub. Duke is going to make an outstanding riding or harness mule. He is smart and curious which will make training him a breeze. He appears to have his Mama's pretty lope and beats her to the gate in the morning.

Height: will mature to 15+hh

Lake Nowhere "Impulsive Tango" - Since his Mama is ApHC Miss T Impulse, and this little boy is a dancer, Impulsive Tango seemed like the perfect choice! "Tango" was born on March 29, 2008. Tango is our first mule baby out of Genesis, and we could not be any prouder of this little guy! He was born chestnut with a black mane and tail, white muzzle, four black stockings, black ear tips and a black dorsal stripe! He is a colorful foal. We will see what he eventually looks like under that foal coat. Tango was imprinted and has been haltered every day. He already loves his ears to be rubbed and lifts his feet. He has a lovely gait and is very fast and athletic with a big chest and rear end, just like his Mama! Tango is half-brother to Genevieve - our reining prospect - and if she is any indicator, this colt has the same potential.

**Update** WIN at 10 weeks

LKNW WINCHESTER

DOB: March 20, 2008
Color: Sorrel with white points
Height: will mature to 18+hh
"Gaited"

Lake Nowhere "Winchester" - Winchester got his name from Deb because all she could think about after measuring him was "long rifles, long legs". "Win" was born on March 20, 2008. Win's Mama, Pam took her sweet time in having her first foal! She was exactly 30 days overdue. This must have been extra time necessary to let his legs grow since he appeared looking like he was half giraffe!! It's a good thing that we know for sure that AMJR Howell Farms Bill is the Daddy! Win measured 48" (12hh) at the withers at birth! Since Pam is 18.2 hh, Win has the potential, with hybrid vigor, to mature to over 19 hh. He has a tremendous amount of bone in his legs. He is sweet and has been haltered since his first day.

Matt and Maddie at 2008 Mulemanship1 Class

MADELINE

DOB: March 17, 2005
Color: Sorrel
Height: 15.2 hands
"Gaited"

Madeline - “Maddie” is a sorrel 15.2hh molly out of a Belgian cross and a Mammoth jack. Maddie is a sweet, sweet girl. She meets you at the gate and follows you like a puppy. Maddie is so gentle you can sit on her when she is lying in the pasture. She has had 45 days of training with Jason and accompanied him to Denton, TX to train with Mark Schrimpf. Jason has this to say about Maddie: “She has had a very good foundation from the ground up. She is very respectful on the ground and in the saddle. She is very soft and quiet. She moves easily off leg pressure, and is stopping correctly.” Maddie is not ear or needle shy. She loves to load (guess she thinks she’s going somewhere special!). She stands for the farrier and in the stocks.

Maximillion - “Max” was born on the farm March 30, 2007. Max’s mama is Madge, a TWH/Percheron cross. Madge is our “dead-broke” buggy mare. Max’s daddy was Lake Nowhere Stonewall Jackson (Jackson was euthanized on Nov.14, 2006 due to a medical condition and is buried on the farm….we miss him terribly). Max inherited his mama’s intelligence and drive and his daddy’s sweetness. Max is a show quality gaited mule and should mature to 16+hh. He would make a first class dressage or hunter/jumper prospect. Max is not ear or needle shy. He leads, loads and stands for the Farrier and in the stocks. Max bears our brand - Flying K. Max has ompleted four 30 day ground school sessions with Jason and is progressing beautifully.

GENEVIEVE

DOB: May 20, 2006
Color: Sorrel
Height: should mature to 15+ hands

Genevieve - “Gen” was born on the farm May 20, 2006.
Gen’s mama is an Appaloosa mare named Miss T Impulse. Her daddy is Howell Farm’s Bill, a Mammoth jack. Gen is currently at Jason’s farm undergoing her second level of ground school. Gen has got a great rear-end on her and uses it as she should. Gen is sorrel and should mature to 15+hh. Gen is stout and is the fastest equine on the farm. As a baby, Gen ran through the ines in a figure 8 pattern for fun and has outstanding potential as a reining, barrel or cutting prospect. Gen was imprinted at birth, leads, loads and stands for the farrier. She loves to have her ears rubbed and has no problem with needles. Gen adores people and other equines and is a lover. You can halter her anywhere in the pasture and lead her anywhere you want to go. We are very, very proud of her since she was our first mule baby born on the farm.

Mojo at 2mos.
MOJO

DOB: June 9, 2006
Color: Black Roan
Height: will mature to 15+ hands
"Gaited"

Mojo - “Mo” was born June 9, 2006 on the farm. His mama is a very laid back white quarter horse mare named Izabella. “Izzy” was Jim’s riding mare until he got Kate, the mule. Mo’s daddy is Howell Farm’s K.J., a grey dapple Mammoth jack. Izzy had Mo at three o’clock in the afternoon, and he got imprinted by humans and the whole herd! Mo was born black, and is now a black roan, but we believe he will turn grey, although he is not showing much sign of change. Mo is gaited and went to his first 30 days of ground school when he was 8 months old. He is scheduled for his second level of training in mid-February. Mo will mature to 15+hh. Mo is another lover, of humans and other equines alike. He has developed a liking for Pam and Sue, the 18.2hh Belgians, but likes to play with Maddie. Mo comes when you call him, and he can be haltered, doctored, or have his feet picked up anywhere in the pasture. Mo leads and loads without hesitation. He stands for the farrier and in the stocks. Mo has dressage potential but would also be an outstanding western pleasure or trail mule, and has a big heart and a brain to match.

She is long legged and refined. She is curious and sweet. She leads and loads and meets you at the gate. She is not ear or needle shy. Abbie is another fine hunter/jumper prospect. Abbie would also fare well showing in halter classes. She is a beauty. She is seal brown with buff colored points. Abbie has had two 30 day ground school sessions with Jason. She has been saddled but not ridden extensively yet, due to her age.
