AMJR LAKE NOWHERE DIXIE and DELTA
Dixie and Delta came to us as yearlings from east Tennessee.
They were in terrible shape - the kind you want to hide
behind the barn so your neighbors don't call the Humane
Society! A consultation with Linda Coffman of the AMJR
put us on the right track with a feeding program to safely
put their weight on. It took six months, but they blossomed!
Now, four years later, Dixie is bred for the first time
and Delta for her second (Delta is Jubal's Mama). Both
girls are bred to Genesis for late fall and winter babies.
We can only imagine how great these babies are going to
be! Dixie and Delta have both been shown at halter and
have both taken Grand Champion ribbons. Their foals should
have the same championship potential!

adores people. She is bred to Genesis and is due to foal

Expected Foaling Date: Mid September
6 T's DUCHESS
Breed: Belgian
Color: Dark Sorrel
Height: 17.2 hh
DUCHESS
6 T’s Duchess came to us as a yearling from 6 T’s
Farm in Dresden, TN. Duchess is Deb’s riding mare,
and the farm’s resident clown. If you have something
in your pocket, Duchess will grab it without you even
knowing it. If you lay that tool down in the pasture while
you work on the fence, she will steal it. Duchess has
a tremendous sense of humor and we believe that she can
really laugh! Duchess is 17.2hh. Duchess is bred to AMJR
PCF Gensis. Duchess can be led with a piece of hay twine
although she is pushing the 1,900 pound mark. If her 2008
foal "LKNW Duke's on Sunday" is any indication,
her 2009 baby will be another
large prize winning draft mule.

Expected Foaling Dates:
DESDEMONA: Late October
CHLOE: Mid September
Height: 16.2 hh
CHLOE AND DESDEMONA
Chloe and Desdemona came to us out of Kentucky. Nicky
Howell had bred both mares to his grey dappled AMJR Mammoth
jack KJ, and only Chloe had become pregnant. Nicky found
out the mares were for sale and called us. These girls
are Friesian / Percheron crosses, but you don’t
see much of the Percheron at all. They have that long,
thick, wavy mane and tail thing going on and feathered
hocks. They have been driven in the past, but we have
never worked them. They are big marshmallows and get along
with everyone. Chole and Desdemona are bred to AMJR PCF
Gensis.

HOLLY
Expected Foaling Dates:
***UPDATE***
PEARL: April 13,2009
HOLLY: Early November
Breed:
Color:Bay
Height: 16++ hh
PEARL AND HOLLY
Pearl and Holly: Pearl came to the farm as a four month
old with her Mama Madge. Madge was bred back to the same
Budweiser stud that Pearl is out of which makes her 1/4
TWH, 1/4 Percheron and 1/2 Clydesdale. Pearl had not really
been handled prior to coming to us and she was a BIG baby
and a handful. A few weeks of attention and groundwork
turned her into the diva she is today! She is such a vain
girl that she won't roll after you give her a bath. She
stands on the hill with the wind blowing through her mane
and it looks like she is singing "I'm so pretty.....!"
It is with great anticipation that we are expecting her
first foal, especially since it is with Genesis! Hopefully
we will get some of the Clyde chrome on this baby.
Holly was Madge's first baby here on the farm and is full
sister to Pearl. Holly and Pearl are peas in a pod. Somehow
when we were weaning Holly she split her left ear right
up the middle. We called Dr. Roberts immediately, and
he sutured it, but we could never get it to close completely.
As Holly has grown, her ear is now the only way that you
can quickly tell the difference between her and her sister
Pearl. Having raised Holly, it is hard to believe that
she is now going to be a mama herself. She too, is bred
to Genesis. If these two produce outstanding foals like
their Mama, we are in for a treat with this pair and cannot
wait to see what kind of draft mule team we end up with!

***UPDATE*** Lake
Nowhere Kenzie - born - 04-13-09 -
Kenzie made an early morning appearance for first time
Mama, Pearl. Celebrating her Mama's Scottish heritage,
"Kenzie" is Scottish for 'the fair one",
and fair she is! She is a big baby and very curious about
her new world. Susan and Deb treated her umbilical cord,
imprinted her and brushed her, since Mama decided that
she had to have her in the mud! She is already an "in
your pocket" mule, as seen in the photographs taken
when she was 2 hours old. The following day, Dr. Burnley
came to the farm to give her Tetenus shot and she was
not sure about that. She was haltered within 24 hours
and did not mind the halter at all. We have already picked
up all four of her feet and she is quite playful and thinks
it is a game. Pearl is going to have her hands full! Kenzie
is waiting for a baby brother or sister to make up a team
when her Aunt Holly foals in the fall. This will be another
show team in the making!

IZABELLA
Expected Foaling Date: Late May
IZABELLA:
Breed:Quarter Horse
Color: Grey
Height: 15.2hh
IZABELLA
Izabella is a grey Quarter Horse mare, that is as docile
and as sweet as the come. We bought "Izzy" as
Jim's first riding horse on the farm and he put alot of
miles on her. He then got TWH Generator's Lucy Lou to
ride once Izzy was bred and had LKNW Mojo. We are thrilled
that Izzy is bred to Genesis after a year off, and look
forward to another gaited, willing and intelligent mule
foal like Mojo.

MADGE
Expected Foaling Dates: Late September
MADGE:
Breed:Tennessee Walking Horse / Percheron cross
Color: Bay
Height: 16 hh
MADGE
Madge is a 16hh Tennessee Walking Horse / Percheron cross.
Madge came to us from Adamsville, TN. Mr. Morris Caruthers
had been driving buggies with Madge and Madge had hauled
too many wedding parties to count. When I called Morris
about Madge he told me that she was a “dream”.
Well, your next question has got to be, “Why are
you selling her?” I couldn’t argue with his
logic, since he owned a Budweiser Clydesdale stud and
wanted to breed pure Clydes. We went to Morris’
farm and he hitched Madge and the stud up to a wagon.
Madge did all the pulling, even with a two month old Clyde
baby by her side! She can really trot. Morris had bred
her back to the Clyde stud and Holly was born on the farm
9 months later. She joined her older sister Pearl on the
farm. Madge took a year off and we bred her to Stonewall
Jackson. Maximillion was the result of that union, and
if he is any indicator, her breeding with AMJR PCF Genesis
should produce another show quality fancy mule baby. Her
2008 foal is "LKNW Arabella" and we are looking
forward to a 2009 foal as exceptional as Bella.

PHARYEE
Expected Foaling Dates: Mid August
PHARYEE :
Breed:Thoroughbred Mare
Color: Dark Bay
Height: 16hh
PHARYEE
Pharyee - ("Fairy") "Pharyee is a stunning
Thoroughbred mare and as her name implies, she has "PharLap"
bloodlines. She is also a descendant of "Man O War"
and "War Admiral". Pharyee is bred to AMJR Howell
Farm's Amos, a 16hh American Mammoth Jack. Phayree has
a wonderful, sweet personality and floats when she runs
in the pasture. We are really looking forward to her foal.
Possibly a racing prospect? We wouldn't be surprised!

Lucy Lou
GENERATOR'S LUCY LOU
Expected Foaling Dates: Early October
Generator's Lucy Lou
Breed: Tennesee Walking Horse
Color: sorrel
Height: 15.2 hh
LUCY LOU
Generator's Lucy Lou: "Lou" came to us in a
round about way. But, as they say "God works in mysterious
ways". We purchased a big, flashy three year old
Tennessee Walking mare that had a great pedigree but had
never really been handled. This mare went straight from
where she was bought to the Vet's for a complete physical,
Coggins, shots and three days of deworming before coming
to the farm. When she came home, the first day Deb went
into her paddock to feed her she met her on her back legs
and teeth bared. Note that she was being fed!!!!! We worked
with her and worked with her to no avail. She would finally
cooperate with Susan and Deb, but none of the males around.
Deb ran into Jimmy Lucy of KY who is a TWH breeder and
expresed her concerns with this mare. Jimmy wanted to
see her. Jimmy then called Deb and said that he would
take the flashy mare and trade us for a mare with equal
pedigree that he could no longer show (he had just sold
a colt out of her for $20,000.00) who was as sweet as
the day was long. Susan went to see "Lou" and
brought her home to us. Lou may not be flashy like the
bipolar mare that we had, and she is the only animal that
we have ever "traded" for, but she is going
to have a fine, sweet gaited foal with Genesis and we
could not be any happier with her sweet presence on the
farm. NOTE: The mare that was traded for Lou is now being
ridden by Jimmy and he is very pleased with her, so it
was meant to be!

AMELIA
Expected Foaling Dates: Early May
AMELIA
Breed: Racking
Color: Black
Height: 15.1 hh
AMELIA
Deb first met Amelia when she was at NW Tennessee Vet.
Services with a newborn foal that was ill. She was such
a sweet mare, even with a sick foal, that Deb asked who
her owner was. She was told that it was Don Smith from
Martin. Deb told Don that if he ever wanted to sell Amelia
to please let her know. About a year later, Don sold Amelia
to us, and we were thrilled. Amelia is a wonderful racking
mare that rides like a dream. She is bred to Genesis and
we are sure that with his gait and hers, this foal should
be a very gaited little mule!

ApHC MISS T IMPULSE
Expected Foaling Dates: Currently Being Bred
ApHC MISS T IMPULSE
Breed: Appaloosa Mare
Color: Chestnut with four white socks
Height: 15.1 hh
MISS T IMPULSE
ApHC Miss T Impulse is a chestnut Appaloosa mare with
four white socks. Miss T was the first mare we brought
to the farm. She came with her first colt, 4 month old
“Skippy” by her side and she was bred back
to the same stud. After Miss T’s second colt, “Saffron”
was born we bred her to Howell Farm’s AMJR Mammoth
jack Bill, and Genevieve was the result of that union.
Miss T then took a year off. Miss T is the alpha mare
of the herd and runs a tight ship. She has a wonderful
personality.
